Obst. Walther Dahl established his Luftwaffe career in 1935 after a brief period in the German Army. Obst. Dahl was to become a top ace in WWII with a total score of 128 confirmed victories (including the ramming of a B-17 Flying Fortress) across 678 missions - while flying a number of aircraft including Blue 13 FW-190 A-8. He claimed over 30 heavy bombers in his career with many additional scores in the famed, Me-262. In 1945, he was decorated the prestigious Oak Leaves award, having been promoted to Oberst as commander of JG 300.
